Time Log Management (Faculty)

When students submit their Time Logs, you can review them. You can also pull a report and filter by your specific needs.

Faculty - Case and Time Log Approval Script

Step 1:

From your home screen, in the Notifications panel, click the orange "You have 1 time log(s) to review" button.

Alternatively, you can find the Time Logs ready for you to approve by clicking "Time Logs" on your home screen's nav-bar.

If you are are not able to find the "Time Logs" button on your screen, on your home screen nav-bar, click "More", and then click "Time Logs" in the drop-down.

Step 2:

On the Manage Time Logs screen, find the Time Log Type (you may have more than one Time Log Type depending on the Institution or if you are connected to multiple locations) and click the Time Log Type link to open the Time Logs Table.

Step 3:

The Time Logs Table is filtered by Requires Attention and Historical.

Log Requires Attention

Step 1:

If the Time Log requires approval, click the "Requires Attention" button.

Step 2:

On the Manage screen, click the "Edit" (pencil) icon found in the Actions column.

Step 3:

On the Time Log detail screen, review the log as needed. Select the appropriate "Approval", "Needs Info", or "Denial", enter any notes in the "Faculty Notes" section, and accept any Skill checks the member listed.

NOTE: When selecting Needs Info it is advised to include a note so the author can adjust the log before re-saving.

Step 4:

Once you selected the approval action and entered any notes, click "Save" to save the log and exit, "Save & Next" to save the log and move to the next log requiring attention.

Before saving the log, there could be Skill Checks that the member has selected.

Step 1:

To approve or edit the Skill's selected by the student, while in the Edit Log screen, in the Navigation tile, select "Skills" to be taken to the Skills screen.

Step 2:

Here you can remove Skills, add Skills, or change specific Levels.

Step 3:

When your changes are complete, click the "Save" button.

You will want to go back to the edit page, in the Navigation tile, click "General" to finish saving the Time Log.

Historical Logs

If you would like to see further details of Logs already submitted or approved, while on the Time Log table, click the "Historical" tab to change your view.

While on click Time Log table, click on the "View" (eye) icon listed under the Actions column.

Time Log Reports

The following instructions will provide you with information on completing a Time log report.

Step 1:

From your home screen, click the "Time Logs" button.

Step 2:

Click on the appropriate Time Log Type link.

Step 3:

Click the "Time Log Report" button.

Step 4:

Here, you will see details and a report of the Time logs that you have been connected with (based on your rotations).

You are able to filter your results using the various filters "Date Start", "Date End", "Entity (or Institution)", "Course", "Rotations", "Preceptor", "Member", and "Skills".

Click the green "Apply Filters" button when you are ready to generate your report.

You can also print your results by clicking on the "Print" button.
