MHC Insight, a sister program of ACEMAPP at Michigan Health Council, is dedicated to researching and reporting on key issues impacting Michigan’s healthcare workforce. One of the recent projects undertaken by MHC Insight was a survey conducted across 10 physician assistant programs in Michigan. The survey aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements that clinical partners have for students to train at their facilities, with a particular focus on payment requirements.
The goal of the survey was to provide valuable insights into the expectations of clinical partners and highlight areas that may need attention to ensure smooth training processes for healthcare students in Michigan. This research is crucial for addressing the evolving needs of healthcare education and clinical placements, which are vital components of the healthcare workforce.
